Requirements and Prerequisites
Important: System specifications and disk space requirements depend on anticipated data volumes and growth. Datamine recommends a scoping study to determine exact requirements. Testing or training environments must not be set up on the same server as the production environment, to reduce the load on the production server and isolate it from potential issues in other environments. For high-availability solutions additional hardware is required. This should be discussed with your Datamine representatives during the implementation study/budgeting phase.
The DataBlast Pro Application Server and Database Server can be hosted on a single machine. If using this configuration, add the system requirements; for example, the recommended minimum CPU is 8 cores and memory is 32 GB RAM.

Ports
The DataBlast Communications Port, which is TCP port 14900 by default, must be open on the firewall on the server and any machines requiring access.
The DataBlast Clients communicate to the server by default via TCP port 14901. This port is reserved when the DataBlast Service is installed.
Note: Prior to 2.3.x, the default ports were 9000 for DataBlast Client, and 9001–9002 for the
/DataBlast Server. If upgrading from an earlier installation, you do not need to change these ports.External Systems Access
For drilling data to be imported from external databases or files, the site must configure appropriate security permissions and login details for those databases or files. The permissions must enable access for the logon user of the DataBlast Service and for the user who installs the DataBlast Service on the DataBlast server machine.
If a drill system database connects via Windows integrated security, the DataBlast Service must be configured to use a domain account with the relevant security permissions. The user who installs and configures the DataBlast Service on the DataBlast server machine must also have a domain account with the relevant security permissions.
