Configure BlastPad Server Settings
For most installations, the default settings are recommended.
Activity Steps
- On the DataBlast Application Menu, select Site Maintenance.
The Site Maintenance screen displays.
- Select the Service Control node.
- Select the BlastPad Server tab.
- Leave WCF BlastPad Server Active unchecked while configuring the settings.
- Complete the following fields as required.
- BlastPad Server Name—If cleared, resets to Server default.
- BlastPad Server Comms Port—Default: 14901. To change this port, see Modify the BlastPad Communication Port.

- Comms Timeout - General
- Comms Timeout - File Prepare
- Comms Timeout - File Transfer
- Comms Timeout - File Got
- Comms Timeout - Busy Semaphore
- Data Present Wait
- Process Saved Data to Comms Immediately
- Thread Database Timeout
- Default Design Lines—Default set of design lines to be sent to the BlastPad devices. For example, a set of design lines may include information about the mine pit and access roads.
- Maximum Records per Transfer File
- Maximum Data File Backups to Keep per BlastPad
- Delete File Retry
- Delete File Retry Sleep
- Use System Language—If unchecked, select the Language from English, Portuguese, French, Spanish and Russian.
- To add an authorisation for a user to overload decks:
- Click Add Overload Authorisation.
- Enter the Overload Threshold.
- Select the Operator Competency Required from Blast Controller, Blast Crew, Blast Guard, Drill Operator, Magazine Keeper, Measure, Mobile Processing Unit Operator, Public Road Traffic Controller, Shotfirer, SSAN Authorised, Stemming Truck Operator and Supervisor.
- Select whether PIN Required.
- To enable the communication, check WCF BlastPad Server Active.
- Click Save Changes.
