Drill Machine Interfaces
Important: For drilling data to be imported from external databases or files, the site must configure appropriate security permissions and login details for those databases or files. The permissions must enable access for the logon user of the DataBlast Service and for the user who installs the DataBlast Service on the DataBlast server machine. If a drill system database connects via Windows integrated security, the DataBlast Service must be configured to use a domain account with the relevant security permissions. The user who installs and configures the DataBlast Service on the DataBlast server machine must also have a domain account with the relevant security permissions.
When data is imported from drill machines, the values for some data (for example, hole length, rotation speed and feed force) may need to be converted to a different unit of measure. You can edit conversion factors if required. See Configure Segment Data Conversion Settings.
DataBlast Pro supports the following drill machine interfaces.
IMS Tritronics/Leica (Jigsaw older system)
The Leica/Jigsaw Tritronics Drilling System is also referred to as IMS.
This DataBlast interface reads data via a read-only connection to a Microsoft SQL Server database supplied by the customer.
Output to the drills is via text files produced by DataBlast Pro.
Caterpillar Terrain
This DataBlast interface reads data via a read-only connection to a Microsoft SQL Server database supplied by the customer.
Output to the drills is via text files produced by DataBlast Pro.
Modular ProVision
This DataBlast interface reads data via a read-only connection to a Microsoft SQL Server database supplied by the customer.
Output to the drills is via text files produced by DataBlast Pro.
Atlas Copco
This raw Atlas Copco system can be configured to read from an Atlas Copco Surface Manager Backup or to read and move files directly from the Atlas Copco RRA system.
Files are read from a series of directories, with the option to copy or move them if required.
Output to the drills is via a file export from DataBlast Pro.
MiPlan
This DataBlast interface uses a read/write connection to a Microsoft SQL Server database supplied by the customer. Data is read in and written via a series of stored procedures supplied on the MiPlan database.
Output to the drills is via DataBlast Pro to the stored procedures on MiPlan.
Wenco/APS
The Wenco Drilling System was formerly the APS (Advanced Positioning Systems) system.
This DataBlast interface reads data via a read-only connection to a Microsoft SQL Server database supplied by the customer. The APS setup script must be used to configure the direct connection that scans the database tables.
Output to the drills is via text files produced by DataBlast Pro.
Carlson Drill Grade
This DataBlast interface reads data via a read-only connection to a MySQL database supplied by the customer.
Output to the drills is via text files produced by DataBlast Pro.
Flanders ARDVARC
This DataBlast interface reads data via a read-only connection to a Microsoft SQL Server database supplied by the customer.
Output to the drills is via text files produced by DataBlast Pro.
Hexagon Jigsaw Jmineops
This DataBlast interface reads data via a read-only connection to a Microsoft SQL Server database supplied by the customer.
Output to the drills is via text files produced by DataBlast Pro.
