Maintain Drill Machines

When you drill holes, you can record which machine was used to drill each hole.

Note: Refer to the manufacturer's product specifications when adding or editing a drill machine.

Access drill machine maintenance:

  1. On the DataBlast Application Menu, select Site Maintenance.

    The Site Maintenance screen displays.

  2. Select the Resources » Drill Machines node.

    The Drill Machine Maintenance Ribbon Menu displays.

To create a drill machine:

  1. Click Add Drill Machine.
  2. Enter the Name.
  3. Select whether the drill machine is Active.
  4. Enter the Drill Type Name, Manufacturer and Model if required.
  5. Update the Measurement Units if required. Default: Single Units.
  6. Select the Competency Required from None, Drill Operator, Shotfirer, Blast Crew, Supervisor, Measure, Mobile Processing Unit Operator, Blast controller, Blast guard, Public road traffic controller, Magazine Keeper, SSAN Authorise and Stemming Truck Operator.
  7. Enter the Bit Model and Bit Type if required.
  8. Select the Maximum Bit Size and Minimum Bit Size from the allowed drill diameters. See Configure Mine Site Settings.
  9. Complete the following fields as required.
    • Drill String Type
    • Drill String Outer Diameter
    • Maximum Drill Depth
    • Compressor Size
    • Compressor Pressure
    • Minimum Angle
    • Maximum Angle
    • Dump and Rotate
    • Angle Increment
    • Tail Room
    • Mechanical Availability
    • Fleet Utilisation
  10. Update the Display Colour if required. Default: Black.
  11. Select whether the drill machine is operated by a Contractor.
  12. If Contractor is checked, enter the Contractor Name.
  13. Enter the following ID numbers if required.
    • IMS Machine ID
    • Wenco Machine ID
    • Serial Number
    • MiPlan Machine ID
    • Terrain Machine ID
    • Modular Provision Machine ID
    • Flanders Machine ID
    • Carson Machine ID
    • Jigsaw Machine ID

    Note: If data is imported from a drill navigation system and its ID does not match a drill machine, the DataBlast Service creates a drill machine with an ID for that navigation system.

  14. Click Save Changes.

To deactivate a drill machine:

  1. Uncheck Active for the drill machine.

    The drill machine displays with strike-through text.

  2. Click Save Changes.
