Maintain Users

Access user maintenance:

  1. On the DataBlast Application Menu, select Site Maintenance.

    The Site Maintenance screen displays.

  2. Expand the Users and Security node.
  3. Select Users.

    The DataBlast Users Ribbon Menu displays.

To modify the user roles for a user:

  1. Select the user.
  2. Use the arrow buttons to move Available User Roles to Selected User Roles as required.
  3. Click Save Changes.

To reset the password for a user:

  1. Select the user.
  2. Enter a new Password.
  3. Select whether the user Must Change Password when they next log in.
  4. Click Save Changes.

To create a user:

  1. Click New DataBlast User.
  2. Enter the User Name.
  3. Edit the Display Name if required.
  4. Enter the First Name, Last Name and Email if required.
  5. Enter a Password.
  6. Check Enabled. Data for a disabled user is retained.
  7. Select whether the user Must Change Password when they next log in.
  8. Select whether the user Is Super Admin. Super administrators are not limited by user role permissions.
  9. If Is Super Admin is unchecked, use the arrow buttons to move Available User Roles to Selected User Roles as required.
  10. Click Save Changes.

To delete a user:

  1. Select the user.
  2. Press Delete (on your keyboard).

    A confirmation message displays.

  3. Click OK.
  4. Click Save Changes.
