Code & Text Fields

As well as numeric production fields that can be defined for tasks, you can also define code and text fields to support your schedule and enhance reporting.

Text and code fields are configured using the Text Fields Screen.

Text Fields

Text fields can either be whatever you type, that is, the value for each activity can be entered individually, or values can be selected from a list. Text fields can also be calculated from other task fields using formulae.

Code Fields

Code fields are generally used to categorise tasks into common groups (such as Area, Shaft, Level, Responsibility or Ore Type, for example). Each value for a code field can be assigned a description, colour and pattern. The task bars on the Gantt chart can be coloured based on a code category.
