Filter Selected Items

Often you will want to simply select some tasks in the task table and automatically hide all other tasks.

To create a temporary filter:

• Select the tasks you wish to keep visible by selecting them in the task table. There is no special way of selecting them. DTS will pick tasks based on the cell selection, so it is irrelevant which column you use to select the tasks. Then do the following:

1. Data Ribbon >> Advanced Filter >> Display only Selected Items:

   

   This will automatically create a filter called <FlaggedFilter>, which is listed together with all other task filters. This filter uses an internal DTS field called Is Flagged to highlight only the selected items.

• To show all tasks again, simply switch off the filter by selecting <No Task Filtering> from the Task Filters drop-down list in the Filter group on the Data ribbon tab, or click Clear Filter in the Advanced Filter group:
