EPSolver

The EPSolver covers the end-to-end workflow for building feasible production schedules that respect technical, operational, and material constraints. It is an advanced scheduling / optimization tool designed to run in conjunction with EPS. It will create schedules that take into account any combination of:

  • Resource capacity.

  • Target fulfilment.

  • Dump capacity / stockpile capacity and extraction.

EPSolver uses various optimization algorithms to optimize schedules created by DTS. If the targets selected to optimize to refers to weighted production fields (e.g. grades) EPSolver uses Linear Programming (LP) algorithms together with the scheduling framework of DTS to produce a blended schedule based on meeting custom targets (and optionally stockpiles and dumps). Alternatively, EPSolver allows the user to select either the LP algorithm or the advanced levelling algorithm to create optimised schedules.

Across these sections, you configure required schedule inputs, choose and tune solving approaches, review diagnostic outputs, and apply scenario controls that influence how material flow, targets, and resources are balanced.

The topics in this area also provide examples and reference guidance so you can move from setup through execution to validation and troubleshooting of solver outcomes.
