Add a Task Grouping

Activity steps:

  1. Display the Project Settings screen.
  2. Using the vertical menu, expand Sorting/Grouping >> Grouping.
  3. Click New.
  4. Enter a new Name for the grouping.
  5. Add a task field to group on in the Group By column of the grid.
  6. Select a grouping Interval for numeric and date fields.
  7. Choose the From Char. This is the starting character in the activity name from which to isolate a grouping value.
  8. Choose the Length (the number of characters from the From Char to capture the grouping value).
  9. Specify either an Ascending or Descending sort order (Default Direction).

    Note: Add multiple levels of grouping by adding extra rows to the grid.

  10. To prevent accidental deletion of editing of an existing task grouping, select the item to preserve and check Locked.
  11. Click Close.
