Sorting/Grouping: Task

To display this screen:

Use this screen to create and maintain Task Sorts.

A Task Sort is a saved list of task levels. Your application uses the sort levels to control the order of tasks when you apply the sort.

Note: Table options are disabled if a sort is in progress.

Activity steps:

  1. Display the Task Sort screen.

  2. To create a new Task Sort, click New, then enter a Name.

    • To copy a Task Sort, select it, then click Copy.

    • To rename a Task Sort, select it, then click Rename.

    • To delete a Task Sort, select it, then click Delete.

  3. In the grid, add a row for each sort level you need.

  4. In Field, select the Task field to sort by.

  5. In Direction, select Ascending or Descending.

    Note: Use the Up and Down arrows to set the order of the sort levels.

  6. Optional: Select Keep outline structure to keep the current outline hierarchy when you apply the sort.

  7. Optional: Select Locked to prevent changes to the selected Task Sort.

  8. Click OK to save your changes and close the screen.

  9. Save your project.
