Indent Tasks and Insert Summary

  1. Select the group of tasks that you want to create a summary for.
  2. Use one of the following options:
    • Select the Outline / Indent and create summary task option from the Project menu
    • Press the Indent and create summary task button on the Outline advanced tool bar.
    • Press the Indent and create summary button on the Editing page of the ribbon bar.
  3. A new summary task is created in place of the selected tasks with the selected tasks indented underneath it.
  4. Change the name of generated summary task from <New summary> as needed.

Note The options is disabled while a task sort is active.
