Import Vector Data

1. On the Discover ribbon tab, in the External Data group, expand Import and click Vector Data.

   The Geoprocessing panel displays the Import Vector Data parameters.

2. Click the folder icon next to Input Vector File.
3. Browse for and select the required file.

   The file must have one of the following file extensions:

   • .tab
   • .dtm
   • .str
   • .ts
   • .pl
   • .vs
   • .bt2
   • .erv
4. Select the required Co-ordinate Reference System (CRS).
5. Set the Output Feature Class:
   1. Click the folder icon next to Output Feature Class.
   2. Browse for the location to save the feature class.
   3. Enter the Name.
   4. Click Save.

      Note: A feature class is a file containing any vector data.

6. Click Run.

   The imported map data displays in the Map Window.
