Create a Legend

  1. On the Legend ribbon tab, in the Create group, click Legend Editor.

    The Legend Editor displays.

  2. Click New.

    The New Legend window displays.

  3. To use drillhole data for the legend:
    1. Check Populate legend from drillhole data.
    2. Select the Table from the tables in the project.
    3. Select the Field from the fields in the selected table.
    4. Check Use Histogram.
    5. To exclude data, click the Data Conditioning icon .

      The Field Data Conditioning window displays.

      1. If the field data type is numeric:
        1. To enter a single value, enter the value in Specify one or more invalid values and click the add icon .
        2. To enter a range, enter the start and end values in Specify one or more invalid ranges (Inclusive of limits) and click the add icon .
        3. Select whether to Convert null values to Background value. If selected, enter the background value. Default: 0.
        4. Select whether to Cap values below (to specified value). If selected, enter the lower limit. Default: 0.
        5. Select whether to Cap values above (to specified value). If selected, enter the upper limit. Default: 100.
      2. If the field data type is alphanumeric:
        1. Select field values in Specify one or more invalid values and click the right arrow.

          Note: Use Ctrl or Shift to select multiple field values.

        2. Select whether Invalid data will be converted to the Null value. If selected, enter the null value. Default: -1E+32.
        3. Select whether to Convert null values to Background value If selected, enter the background value. Default: 0.
      3. Click OK.
  4. Select the Data Type from:
    • Text
    • Numeric
  5. If the Data Type is Text, enter the Number of rows.
  6. If the Data Type is Numeric:
    1. Enter the Number of rows. Default: 10.
    2. Update the Legend range if required.

      3. Note: If using drillhole data for the legend and the selected field is numeric, the Data range displays the minimum and maximum values.

  7. Enter the Legend name.
  8. Click OK.
