Drillhole Project Group

Description
Import Drillhole

Import drillhole data.

Expand the menu to display options to import data from tables and databases. You can import data from:

  • Import Tables (Excel, CSV and Geodatabases).
  • Import Access databases.
  • Import acQuire databases.
  • Import Fusion databases.
  • Import Datamine files.
  • Import ODBC databases.
  • Import gINT databases.
  • Import Discover for ArcGIS Pro drilling projects.
  • Import MapInfo Discover Drilling Project.
Manage Drillhole

Manage an open drillhole project.
Modify Project

Modify the settings for a drillhole project, such as the data sources, field mappings and surface files.
Edit Project Data

Edit data in the drillhole project.
Validate Project

Revalidate project data after edits have been made.
Export Drilling Data

Export a project as an .edhp file so other users of Discover for ArcGIS Pro can select the Import Project option. The file can contain drillhole data, sections and legends.
Delete Project

Delete a drillhole project and all its associated files and scenes.
Refresh Drillhole Data

Refresh the data in a drillhole project. Clicking this button deletes and recreates the entire drillhole project and erases any validations or edits made to the project. Use this option to start a project from scratch or if the source data already in Discover for ArcGIS Pro needs to be overwritten.
Append Drillhole Data

Append drillhole data to a project. Only the newly added data in the source file is added to Drilling.gdb. The data already in Drilling.gdb does not have to be revalidated and all edits to existing data are unchanged.
Refresh Sections

Refresh drillhole sections. If Drilling.gdb has been updated or if data in the project has been edited, the drillhole sections and plans need to be updated using the Refresh Sections tool.

Generate Sections

Create plan or vertical drillhole sections, including trenches or polyline sections. Expand the menu to display options to:

  • Draw Section Line.
  • Generate Sections (Batch).
Downhole Data

Display downhole data on sections and plans.
Strip Logs

Create drillhole strip logs using trace shades, bar graphs or line graphs from downhole drilling data.

Display drillholes in a local 3D scene.

Legend Editor

Create and modify legends to apply to drillhole data.

Planning Group

Description
Drillhole Planning

Design drillholes interactively to intersect a target.
Point Grid Planner

Create sample points along a line.

Tools Group

Option

Description
Local Grid Tool

Create a local coordinate system from control points or a registered image.

3D Georeference Image

Georeference an image in 3D using control points.
Correlation Matrix

Determine the geochemical relationships of multivariable data using Pearson Product, Kendall Tau or Spearman Rank methods. The output displays as a table.

Reproject Voxel

Reprojects a NetCDF voxel model.

Machine Learning

Performs Principal Component Analysis (PCA) and clustering on data.

Description
Import

Import external data to the current project or a geo-database. The following file types can be imported:

  • Datamine
  • DXF
  • Geosoft
  • Micromine
  • Open Mining Format
  • Scaniverse OBJ
  • Surpac
  • UBC
  • Vulcan
  • Vector Data
Export

Export data from the current project to Open Mining Format.
