Record a Audio File

Audio fields are a unique subset of character fields, which store recorded audio clips.

Note: Audio fields must be set up in the table validation in the Discover software.

Activity Steps

1. In the data entry window, tap the Record Audio icon.

   Note:If it is your first time using the Record Audio function, the app asks for permission to use your phone's microphone.

2. Tap Start recording and begin to talk.

   Note: The audio recording can be paused by tapping the Pause button.

3. Tap Save to stop recording.
4. To play back the audio recording, tap Play.
5. Tap Save.

Note: If you want to capture more than one recording for a record, you must create multiple audio fields for the layer.
