Fusion System Requirements

Important: System specifications and disk space requirements depend on anticipated data volumes and growth. Datamine recommends a scoping study to determine exact requirements. Testing or training environments must not be set up on the same server as the production environment, in order to reduce the load on the production server and isolate it from potential issues in other environments. For high-availability solutions additional hardware is required. This should be discussed with your Datamine representatives during the implementation study/budgeting phase.

Network Requirements

The recommended network requirements for Fusion are:

  • Latency—0 ms
  • Bandwidth—1 Mbps

All ports, switches and network cards should be rated for 100 Mbps. For switches and network cards, we recommend 1 Gbps.

If you are working over a VPN connection or in a high-latency environment, contact your nearest Datamine region for information about the web service. Enabling a web service on your Central or Fusion Remote database server shifts most processing to the server, improving the performance of data transfer operations such as check-in and check-out.

Supported Barcode Printers

The following table lists the standard and high capacity barcode printers currently supported for use with the Fusion application.
