Create Reference Codes for Grid Types
This describes all the coordinate systems used in a drilling project. For example, a mine grid oriented with the orebody might be used for planning purposes, while surface exploration data may use the UTM system.
Note: Grid Type is a required field for data entry in the Location tab in DHLogger and Sample Station.
To add a new grid type:
- On the Home screen, select Maintain » Reference Tables » Grid Definitions » Grid Types from the menu.
The Grid Types window displays.
- On the toolbar, click New.
- Enter the Grid Type Code, which is unique code for the grid.
- Enter the Grid Type Name, which is long name for the grid.
- Select whether the grid Uses Dist, this identifies whether the grid uses the distance flag.
- Enter any Comments for the grid.
- Enter the Scaling Factor, which is a numeric field that defines the grid's scaling.
- If required, enter a Elevation Adjustment.
- Select the Grid Category Code. Only grids categorized as In Use display in lists used to specify a Grid Type.
- The Status Code is either Defined or Undefined. A Defined grid can be converted to any other defined grid system within Fusion Administrator. Undefined means the coordinates cannot be converted because the relationship to other grids is unknown.
- Click Save.
