Create a Reference Code for a Hole Type

A list of codes and descriptions defines the hole type. The Hole Type is used to configure other areas of the application, such as Planned Drill Holes and QC Packages. The Hole Type is a required column in the collar table, and you can set a default in the System Preferences window in DHLogger in each local database.

The hole type identifies a drill hole, blast hole, or a channel sample created in MineMapper.

Additionally, the Destination Compositor field filters the data in the Destination Compositor module, retrieving data only for holes that allow compositing.

Note: A system hole type called BLAST exists in this list and cannot be modified. This hole is used in the Blast Hole module, and no other hole types can be created for this module.

To add a new hole type:

  1. On the Home screen, select Maintain » Reference Tables » Hole Types from the menu.

The Drill Hole Types window displays.

  2. On the toolbar, click New.
  3. Enter the Hole Type.
  4. Enter the hole Description.
  5. Select the Module for the hole type table from:
    • DHLogger
    • MineMapper 3D
  6. Select the Destination Compositor to filter the data in the Destination Compositor module. Data is retrieved only for hole types that allow compositing. Select from:
    • Yes—Allows filtering.
    • No—Does not allow filtering.
  7. Click Save.
