LandTracker System Requirements

Important: System specifications and disk space requirements depend on anticipated data volumes and growth. LandTrack Systems recommends a scoping study to determine exact requirements. Testing or training environments must not be set up on the same server as the production environment, in order to reduce the load on the production server and isolate it from potential issues in other environments. For high-availability solutions additional hardware is required. This should be discussed with your LandTrack Systems representatives during the implementation study/budgeting phase.

Application Clients

Operating System

32-bit or 64-bit Windows 7 SP1 or later or Windows 8 or later for highest security TLS 1.2 communication with database

CPU

2GHz

Memory

4GB RAM

Storage

4GB

Network

LandTracker requires an active HTTP/HTTPS internet connection for normal operation. It supports connecting through an authenticating proxy server, but will require the local firewall to permit outgoing internet access, if outgoing connections are blocked by default.

.NET

.NET Framework 4.7.0 or above

Display

LandTracker is optimised for a desktop PC with dual wide screen monitors.

Other

  • 32-bit or 64-bit Microsoft Office 2010 or later. Microsoft Access is not required.
  • 32-bit or 64-bit SQL Server Express 2012 with Service Pack 1 or SQL Server 2012 with Service Pack 2 (Optional for local test database)

Database

An Azure database is created, supported and managed by LandTrack Systems. LandTrack Systems keeps all client data confidential and does not share it with any third parties, only retaining copies for backups and while providing support. Databases and backups are stored on separated, secured servers not generally accessible from the main network.

LandTracker includes functionality to create standalone or subscriber databases, and can be used with multiple databases if required.

Internet and Port Access

LandTracker requires an active HTTP/HTTPS internet connection for normal operation. LandTracker supports connecting through an authenticating proxy server, but will require the local firewall to permit outgoing internet access, if outgoing connections are blocked by default.

Enable access to port 1433. This access can be restricted to tcp:landtracker.database.windows.net,1433 if required.

Installation

To avoid Local Administrator permissions, LandTracker installs on a per-user basis within their local profile. The default and recommended installation path is: C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\LandTracker

Installation requires a company name and licence key or code issued by LandTrack Systems. The installer validates the licence online during installation. If this validation is blocked by a proxy or firewall, an alternative is to provide a machine-specific authorisation code over the phone.

You may need to disable your anti-virus software before you install LandTracker.
