Configure Advanced Dilution Settings

Advanced dilution settings in MSO provide additional control over how dilution is handled in the optimization process. These settings do not define the dilution values themselves, but rather influence how the software evaluates and applies dilution during stope shape generation.

Enabling these options can help refine results for more realistic designs or ensure compliance with operational or economic constraints.

  Description Usage
Check results with dilution included Ensures that the stope evaluation accounts for dilution. The optimizer will consider diluted values when assessing stope grades or value. Use when you want to optimize based on diluted results, which is essential for accurate economic assessment and reporting.
Force dilution to honour waste fraction specified Enforces the target waste fraction even if the initial geometric result doesn't satisfy it. MSO will adjust stope shapes (by trimming ore or expanding dilution) to reach the specified waste amount. Use when dilution levels are operationally fixed or must meet specific contract or processing thresholds (for example, plant blending requirements).
