Set up a Contributor Group

Security Note: You need the Allow contributor maintenance security right in the Contributors user group security rights group for this activity.

Activity Steps

  1. Select the Quality panel in the Solution Explorer.
  2. Right-click the Contributor Groups node and select New » Contributor Group from the menu.

    The Contributor Group displays.

  3. Update the name of the contributor group node if required.
  4. Select whether to use Dynamic Contributor Filters. If checked, when you assign contributors to a stockpile, you can choose which contributors in the group to assign. Only those contributors with a contribution greater than zero display in the Contributor Chart and Assign Contributor tabs for stockpiles, shipments, trains, service trips and truck despatches. If unchecked, the Contributor Cut Off value becomes inactive for all contributors in the selected contributor group; however, you can specify a cut off when viewing the contributors.
  5. Select whether to Calculate Yield Based Contribution. If checked, all transactions on all process flows applicable to the contributor group will calculate the yield-based contributors when the transactions are downstreamed.
  6. Enter a Contributor Cut Off if required. The cut off is the limit below which contributors are not assigned. Any contributor on a stockpile with a value lower than the cut-off value will be consolidated and grouped under "Others". The default cut off value can be any number between 0.1 and 99.99%, but is typically set between 1% and 5%.
  7. Enter a number of decimal places in Percentage Rounding Decimals Override if greater accuracy is required for contributor group percentages than is specified for percentages used elsewhere. This value overrides the number of decimal places specified for percentages in the Unit Conversion Editor.
  8. Click Save.
