Set up a Packing Template Category

Packing templates must belong to a packing template category or sub-category.

Security Note: You need the Allow packing template maintenance security right in the Supply Chain user group security rights group for this activity.

Activity Steps

1. Select the Supply Chain panel in the Solution Explorer.
2. Expand the Discrete Units node.
3. Perform one of the following steps:
   1. To set up a top-level packing template category, right-click the Packing Template Categories node and select New » Packing Template Category from the menu.
   2. To set up a packing template sub-category, right-click a packing template category and select New » Packing Template Category from the menu.
4. Update the name of the packing template category node if required.
5. Click Save.
