Assign a Sample Template to a Material Flow

This activity is applicable to process flows, packing process flows and movement flows.

Security Note: You need the Allow process flow maintenance security right in the Supply Chain user group security rights group for this activity.

Activity Steps

  1. Open the Process Flow, Packing Process Flow or Movement Flow.
  2. Select the Sample Templates tab.
  3. To use a sampling template to create a sample template:
    1. Select the Quality panel in the Solution Explorer.
    2. Expand the Sampling Templates node.
    3. Select a sampling template and drag it into the Sample Templates field group.
  4. To create a new sample template, right-click in the Sample Templates field group and select New from the menu.
  5. Set the Type to Assaying or Sizing. Default and recommended setting: Assaying.
  6. Select the default Analyte Display for when the sample template is used to configure transaction quality:
    • All Analytes—All analytes defined in the sample template display.
    • Default Analytes—Only analytes where Display Analyte is checked for the analyte in the sample template display.
    • Default Analytes And Analytes With Values—All analytes where Display Analyte is checked for the analyte in the sample template and any other analytes for which a value has been entered display.
  7. Select the default Analyte Group method for when the sampling template is used to configure transaction quality:
    • None—The analytes display in the order in which they display in the sample template.
    • With Values—Analytes with values display first, followed by analytes without values.
    • Without Value—Analytes without values display first, followed by analytes with values.
  8. Add analytes or analyte groups as required:
    1. Select the Quality panel in the Solution Explorer.
    2. To add a single analyte definition, expand the Analyte Definitions node and drag an analyte definition into the Sample Analyte Templates field group.
    3. To add all the analytes from an analyte group, expand the Analyte Group node and drag an analyte group into the Sample Analyte Templates field group.

Note: If analytes are added to the sample template after the sample template has been used for samples, the next time the sample is loaded, the new analytes are available for data entry.

  9. For each analyte definition:
    1. Select the Result Type from the result types defined in the Result Type Editor.
    2. Update the Unit from the units defined in the Unit Conversion Editor that are in the same category as the analyte's default unit of measure specified in the Analyte Definition Editor.
    3. If Analyte Display is Default Analytes or Default Analytes And Analytes With Values, select whether to Display Analyte.
  10. To edit the domains for which the sample template is visible:
    1. Display the Property Window.

Because a sample template is a domain object, the Allow Domains property is True. The Domains property lists the assigned domains.

    2. Click the ellipsis (...) in the Domains property.

      The Domain Editor displays.

    3. Check Assigned for the required domains.
    4. Click OK.
  11. To delete a sample template from a material flow, right-click the sample template and select Delete from the menu.

Note: You can only delete the sample template if the sample template has not yet been used to create a sample. If you delete the sample template, MineMarket deletes the sample template from any Transaction Editor Configuration that uses that process flow.

  12. Click Save.
