Configure the Transactions Between Stockpile Full States

This activity is only applicable to 3D, FIFO and LIFO stockpiles.

This setting affects how often full transaction states (FIFO and LIFO layers, and 3D stockpile geometry data) are stored:

  • The lower the value, the more often full states are recorded, but the more database storage is used.
  • The higher the value, the less often full states are recorded, but this has a negative impact on performance.

The default setting for new stockpiles can be specified on the Warehouse Settings.

Prior to MineMarket 4.11.0, this setting was hard coded for 3D stockpiles to 40 transactions between each full state. This value is recommended for 3D stockpiles and any supply chains that include 3D stockpiles. If the supply chain only has FIFO or LIFO (or WAG) stockpiles, a much larger value is recommended; for example, 1000.

Security Note: You need the Allow the user to modify transactions between each full state security right in the Stockpiles security group for a domain assigned to the user group.

Activity Steps

  1. Open the FIFO Stockpile, LIFO Stockpile or 3D Stockpile.
  2. Select the Details tab.
  3. Edit the Transactions Between Each Full State. The recommended values are:
    • 40 transactions for supply chains that include any 3D stockpiles
    • 1000 transactions for supply chains with only FIFO or LIFO (or WAG) stockpiles
  4. Click Save.
