Assign Packages to a Child Package Group

Example: A company creates a packing list of packages as a package group when a sale is committed. The packing list covers multiple despatches. When the company is ready to despatch the packages, the company creates an empty package group for each despatch. These empty package groups are added to the packing list (parent) package group, which makes them child package groups. The packages in the packing list are assigned to the child package groups and the material is despatched.

Security Note: You need the Allow package group maintenance security right in the Supply Chain user group security rights group for this activity.
