Find Package Groups

Security Note: You need the Allow the user to view the Package Group Explorer security right in the Menu user group security rights group for this activity if using the Package Group Explorer. However, assuming you can view the location, no specific security right is required for this activity via a location screen.

Activity Steps (via the Package Group Explorer)

  1. Open the Package Group Explorer.
  2. Select the Package Groups tab.
  3. Enter the following search criteria as required.
    • Start Date—Limit the search by package group Opening Date.
    • End Date
    • Storage Type—Select from Bulk Only and Packages Only.
    • Location—Select from the discrete unit locations, discrete unit divisions, and despatch locations defined on the Supply Chain panel of the Solution Explorer. Despatch locations are rail sidings, truck despatch locations, barge terminals and port locations.
    • Product—Select from the products and brands defined on the Material panel of the Solution Explorer.
    • Display Package Groups—Select from Active (default), Inactive and All.
    • Container Type—Select from No Container Type or container types defined on the Supply Chain panel of the Solution Explorer.
  4. To include a text string in the search criteria:
    1. Select the method to Search By from Package Group, Package Group Batch and Despatch Order.
    2. Enter the Search Text. Text searches are case-sensitive with SQL databases with a case-sensitive collation and with all Oracle databases.
  5. Click Search or press F3.

    Rejected packages and package groups that have rejected packages are red. Recycled packages and package groups that have recycled packages are green. Package groups that have both rejected and recycled packages are red.

    Note: You can save search criteria as a search profile. Search profiles for the Package Group Explorer include all criteria except the Start Date and End Date. See Use Saved Search Profiles in MineMarket Explorers.

  6. To view the quality of package groups, Show Analyte Group. Select from:
    • Analyte groups, as defined on the Quality panel of the Solution Explorer—A column for each analyte in the group displays.
    • Show All Analytes—A column for each analyte that has data displays.
  7. To edit a package group or view more details, click the hyperlinked Package Group name.

    The Package Group (Bulk) or Package Group (DU) displays.

Activity Steps (via a location)

  1. Open the Discrete Unit Location, Rail Siding, Truck Location, Barge Terminal or Port Location.
  2. Select the Package Groups tab.
  3. Enter a Start Date and End Date.
  4. Update Display Package Groups if required. Select from Active (default), Inactive and All.
  5. Click Search.

    Rejected packages and package groups that have rejected packages display in red. Recycled packages and package groups that have recycled packages are green. Package groups that have both rejected and recycled packages are red.

  6. To view the quality of package groups, Show Analyte Group. Select from:
    • Analyte groups, as defined on the Quality panel of the Solution Explorer—A column for each analyte in the group displays.
    • Show All Analytes—A column for each analyte that has data displays.
  7. To edit a package group or view more details, click the hyperlinked Package Group name.

    The Package Group (Bulk) or Package Group (DU) displays.
