Find Packages

Security Note: You need the Allow the user to view the Package Explorer security right in the Menu user group security rights group for this activity if using the Package Group Explorer. However, assuming you can view the location, no specific security right is required for this activity via a location screen.

Activity Steps (via the Package Explorer)

  1. Open the Package Explorer.
  2. To limit the search by the latest Activity Date, check Include Date Range and enter a Start Date and End Date.
  3. Enter the following search criteria as required.
    • Location—Select from the discrete unit locations, discrete unit divisions, and despatch locations defined on the Supply Chain panel of the Solution Explorer. Despatch locations are rail sidings, truck despatch locations, barge terminals and port locations. If you select or clear a discrete unit division, all sub-divisions of the discrete unit division are also selected or cleared.
    • Product—Select from the products and brands defined on the Material panel of the Solution Explorer.
    • Package Type—Select from the package types defined on the Supply Chain panel of the Solution Explorer.
  4. Select whether to Show Rejected Discrete Units.
  5. Select whether to Show Recycled Discrete Units.
  6. Click Search or press F3.

    Packages with zero units do not display. Rejected packages are red. Recycled packages are green.

    Note: You can save search criteria as a search profile. Search profiles for the Package Explorer include all criteria except the Start Date and End Date. See Use Saved Search Profiles in MineMarket Explorers.

  7. To view the quality of package groups, Show Analyte Group. The quality of a package is inherited from the batch in which it was created. Hover the mouse pointer over an analyte value to view its result type. Select from:
    • Analyte groups, as defined on the Quality panel of the Solution Explorer—A column for each analyte in the group displays.
    • Show All Analytes—A column for each analyte that has data displays.
  8. To edit a package or view more details, click the hyperlinked package Name.

    The Package displays.

Activity Steps (via a location)

  1. Open the Discrete Unit Location, Rail Siding, Truck Location, Barge Terminal or Port Location.
  2. Select the Packages tab.
  3. Update the Start Date and End Date as required.

    For a discrete unit location, if the start date is cleared, the search returns all packages at the location at the end date, regardless of when they were moved there.

  4. Click Search.

    Packages with zero units do not display. Rejected packages are red. Recycled packages are green.

  5. To view the quality of packages, Show Analyte Group. The quality of a package is inherited from the batch in which it was created. Hover the mouse pointer over an analyte value to view its result type. Select from:
    • Analyte groups, as defined on the Quality panel of the Solution Explorer—A column for each analyte in the group displays.
