Manipulate the 3D View of a 3D Stockpile

Security Note: You need the Allow the user to open the 3D stockpile viewer security right in the 3D user group security rights group for this activity.

Activity Steps

  1. Open the 3D Transaction Viewer.

    The Stockpile View displays a 3D view of the stockpile.

    Note: You can Change the Viewing Options for the 3D Transaction Viewer.

  2. To rotate the 3D view of the stockpile, click the 3D view and while the left mouse button is depressed, move the mouse cursor.
  3. To pan the 3D view along the Y-axis (length) of the stockpile:
    1. Click the 3D view to focus on the frame.
    2. To pan to the left, rotate the mouse scroll wheel forward, or press the Left Arrow key.
    3. To pan to the right, rotate the mouse scroll wheel backward, or press the Right Arrow key.
  4. To zoom the 3D view:
    1. Click the 3D view to focus on the frame.
    2. To zoom out, hold down the Ctrl key while rotating the mouse wheel button forward, or press the Hyphen (-) key.
    3. To zoom in, hold down the Ctrl key while rotating the mouse wheel button backward, or press the Equal Sign (=) key.
  5. To view information about a transaction, click the 3D view in the location of the transaction.

    A tooltip displays the batch, quantity, density, date, age, product and quality of the material in that part in the stockpile.

  6. To display and manipulate the 3D selection box on the 3D view:
    1. Select the Breakdown tab, which displays the breakdown of the total stockpile data, as at the time of the 3D transaction that is selected in the list of transactions that match the search criteria.
    2. Select the Breakdown (sub)tab, which displays the breakdown of the stockpile data, summarised into sections of the stockpile along the Y-axis.
    3. Click More to display all options.
    4. Check Show Selection On 3D View.
    5. Complete the following fields.
      • From X Coord
      • To X Coord
      • From Y Coord
      • To Y Coord
      • From Z Coord
      • To Z Coord
    6. Click Refresh.
    7. To assign a movement product to multiple transactions within the stockpile:
      1. Right-click the 3D selection and select Set Product from the menu.
      2. Expand the Product Categories or Brand Categories tree and select the product or brand.
      3. Click Save.
  7. To save the 3D view of the stockpile as a single image, right-click the 3D view and select Copy To Clipboard from the menu.
