Create a Production and Demand Plan

Security Note: You need the Allow planning maintenance security right in the Planning domain security rights group for this activity.

Activity Steps

  1. Select the Supply Chain panel in the Solution Explorer.
  2. Expand the Planning » Plan Categories node.
  3. Right-click a production and demand plan category and select New » Plan from the menu.

    The Plan displays with the Configuration tab selected.

    Note: The plan must be configured before the other tabs can be accessed.

  4. Update the Name if required.
  5. Complete the following fields.
    • Plan Start Date—The plan start date must be set prior to working with the plan.
    • Plan End Date—The start and end dates must be different.
  6. Select whether to Exclude From Plan Roll-ups. If checked, the plan may not display actual values and the Roll Up Plans button is disabled for the plan. If unchecked, the plan is included whenever plans are rolled up. Default: Unchecked.
  7. Click Save.
