View or Enter Planned Production

Planned production is entered on a month-by-month basis. The quantity per planning period (displayed on the Worksheet tab) is calculated as the month's quantity divided by the number of planning periods in the month. The planned quantity for an individual planning period can be overridden.

Security Note: Assuming you can view the plan, no specific security right is required to view the planned production. To enter planned production, you need the Allow planning maintenance security right in the Planning domain security rights group.

Activity Steps

  1. Open the Plan.
  2. Select the Planned Production tab.
  3. Enter the following search criteria as required.
    • Start Date—These dates must be within the range of the Plan Start Date and Plan End Date.
    • End Date
  4. Click anywhere in the Process Flow table.

    The table displays the production for each month per process flow and per product.

  5. To enter the planned production figures for the selected month against the process flow, perform any of the following steps.
    1. Enter data directly into each table cell as required.
    2. To paste the contents of the clipboard into the table:
      1. Select a cell in the table.
      2. Press Ctrl+V.

        Note: Rows or columns will not be added to the table. The table does not support pasting values into a single cell.

    3. To copy the data to the clipboard:
      1. To copy the entire table, right-click the table and select Copy To Clipboard from the menu.
      2. To copy part of the table, select the area on the table and press Ctrl+C.
    4. To copy the contents of the leftmost cell of a selected range into the cells to the right, press Ctrl+R.
    5. To copy the contents of the topmost cell of a selected range into the cells below, press Ctrl+D.
    6. To delete data from selected cells in the table, press the Delete key.
  6. Click Save.
  7. To view the planned production quantities in the production and demand plan:
    1. Select the Worksheet tab.
    2. Click the Plan Detail icon next to the location fed by the process flow.
