Create Scheduled Shipments

Security Note: You need the Allow Supply and Demand Shipment Modification security right in the Planning domain security rights group for this activity.

Activity Steps

  1. Open the SD Plan.
  2. Select the Scheduled Shipments tab.
  3. Right-click in the table and select New from the menu.

Note: Scheduled shipments can also be created at step 5d or 5e below.

  4. Edit the scheduled shipment Name.
  5. Import shipments to associate the scheduled shipment with an actual shipment:

Note: Although selecting an actual shipment directly in the Shipment field is also possible, using the Import Shipments screen also imports related data, such as the contract and product details.

    1. Right-click in the table and select Import Shipments from the menu.

      The Import Shipments screen displays.

    2. To display actual shipments with an estimated time of arrival (ETA) that is earlier than the start date of the current planning period:
      1. Enter the ETA From date. Default: Start date of the current planning period.

Shipments with no ETA also display.

      2. Click Search.
    3. To associate a scheduled shipment with an actual shipment, drag the actual shipment from the Unassociated Actual Shipments table to the scheduled shipment in the Unassociated Scheduled Shipments table.
    4. To create a new scheduled shipment for an actual shipment, right-click an actual shipment and select Create Scheduled Shipment from Selection from the menu.

The actual shipment moves to the Associated Shipments table.

    5. To create new scheduled shipments for multiple actual shipments:
      1. Hold down the Ctrl key and select multiple actual shipments.
      2. Right-click the selected actual shipments and select Create Scheduled Shipments from Selection from the menu.

The actual shipments move to the Associated Shipments table.

    6. Click OK.

The Import Shipments screen closes and the scheduled shipments are reordered.

Note: Scheduled shipments are ordered by estimated time of railing (ETR). If there is no ETR, then the estimated time of arrival (ETA) is used to determine the display order.

  6. Complete the following fields for each scheduled shipment as required. The format for dates is specified on the SD Plan Configuration screen.
    • ETL—Estimated time of loading.
    • ETR—Estimated time of railing.
    • CETA—Contract estimated time of arrival.
    • CAVD—Coal availability date.
  7. Click Save.
