Import and Edit Opening Stocks

Security Note: You need the Allow Supply and Demand Plan Execution security right in the Planning domain security rights group for this activity.

Activity Steps

1. Open the SD Plan.
2. Select the Opening Stocks tab.
3. Click Import Opening Stocks.

   The stock sources are specified on the SD Plan Configuration screen.

   The Import Opening Stocks screen displays.

4. Enter the Query Date for the opening stocks. Past dates cannot be used for queries.
5. Click Calculate.

   The Opening Stocks table displays the quantity of each plan product available at the time of the query. The location of the stock (that is, the stockpile, location or route) also displays. Click the source to display or hide the detailed view.

6. Select the Planning Period to which to allocate the stocks. Select from the planning periods set up on the SD Plan Configuration screen.
7. To override the total quantity of a product, update the Quantity.
8. Click OK.

   A confirmation prompt displays.

9. Click OK.

   The opening stocks are allocated to the selected planning period and the Import Opening Stocks screen closes.

   Note: After opening stocks have been calculated and allocated, the Quantity can also be overridden on the Opening Stocks tab.

10. Click Save.
