Configure Transport Events

Security Note: Depending on the transport type, you need the applicable security right:
• Allow train maintenance in the Trains domain security rights group
• Allow truck despatch maintenance in the Trucks domain security rights group
• Allow barge maintenance in the Barges domain security rights group
• Allow shipment maintenance in the Shipments domain security rights group

Activity Steps

1. Open the Train Transport Events, Truck Transport Events, Barge Transport Events or Shipment Transport Events screen.
2. To create a new transport event, right-click in the Events table and select New from the menu.
3. Complete the following fields for each transport event as required.
   • Event
   • Is Comment Only—If checked, the Start Date and End Date are not applicable on the Events tab on despatch screens.
   • Has Duration—Whether the transport event both start and end dates.
   • Description
   • Allow Editing—Whether the transport event can be edited on the Events tab on despatch screens.
   • Auto Update—Whether the transport event is automatically updated on the Events tab on despatch screens. Only applicable to default transport events because these events correspond with route plan data. If checked, the transport event date is synchronised with the applicable date on the route plan.
4. To reorder the transport events, right-click a transport event and select Move Up or Move Down as required.

   Note: The order of transport events is important if event templates are set up with Forced Sequential Entry.

5. To delete a transport event, right-click the transport event and select Delete from the menu.

   Note: Default events cannot be deleted.

6. Click Save.
