Truck and Truck Despatch Configuration
Despatching material by truck is known as a truck despatch, and encompasses the truck name, truck route details, truck loading and unloading transactions, and all associated activities (for example, sampling).
Truck despatches can be created via the Truck Despatch Explorer or more usually from a truck despatch template.
Trucks can be grouped into truck groups.
Truck Types
A truck has an associated truck type that specifies a typical tonnage and volume.
Truck Factor Recalculation
A truck factor recalculation is based upon actual tonnages and volumes in truck transactions.
Truck Despatch Templates
Truck despatch templates are used to create truck despatches for despatching material by truck.
A truck despatch template must specify the following information for truck despatches created from the template.
- A truck route
- Whether the template can be changed to a different truck despatch template
A truck despatch template may specify:
- A default loading process flow and stockpile, so that bulk material loading transactions can be created with one right-click menu option
- A default unloading process flow and stockpile, so that bulk material unloading transactions can be either created with one right-click menu option or automatically created
- Allowable stockpiles for loading and unloading, to limit which stockpiles can be used
- Costs and service charges from service or freight contracts
- Which tabs display on the Truck Despatch
Truck despatch templates are categorised into truck despatch templates groups. A truck despatch template must belong to a truck despatch template group.
