Set up a Vessel Transport Class

Security Note: You need the Allow the user to edit vessel configuration security right in the Transport Configuration user group security rights group for this activity.

Activity Steps

1. Open the Vessel Configuration screen.
2. Select the Transport Class tab.

   The Unit is Metric Tonnes.

3. Right-click in the table and select New from the menu.
4. Complete the following fields as required.
   • Name
   • Maximum Tonnes—Maximum amount of material, in the nominated unit of measure, a vessel of this class can hold. The Maximum Tonnes is compared to the vessel or barge's Holding Capacity to determine the Vessel Class.
   • Default Lot Tonnes—Amount of material, in the nominated unit of measure, loaded onto the vessel for which one sample must be taken for quality assurance.
5. Click Save.
