Edit the Route of a Train
This activity is only applicable if Allow Route Change is checked for the template from which the train was created.
Routes and route points cannot be replaced or removed if there is any recorded activity at the route points. This recorded activity includes loading or unloading plans, transactions, movements, samples, surveys and certificates.
In predefined routes, whether a route point is for Loading or Unloading (or both) depends on the Loading Type of the route point in the route configuration. See Create a Train Route.
For dynamic routes, whether a route point is for Loading or Unloading (or both) depends on the material flows (that is, process flows and movement flows):
- If material flows only exist to the location, the route point is for Loading.
- If material flows only exist from the location, the route point is for Unloading.
- If material flows exist to and from the location, the route point is for Loading or Unloading, with Loading set as the default.
Security Note: You need the Allow train route plan modifications security right in the Trains domain security rights group for this activity.
