Enter Shipment Fulfilment for Split Quantities

Use this activity to relate the tonnage contained in the various vessel hatches to despatch orders (DOs). This is only applicable if the Despatch Fulfilment Type of the DOs is By Split Quantity.

Split quantities can be used if there is not a one-to-one correspondence between the bulk loading transactions and the DOs. For example, if a single loading transaction is recorded per vessel hatch, but the quantity is used to fulfil multiple DOs.

Do not use this activity:

  • If unloading transactions must be considered. Use split parent and child despatch order (SPDO and CDO) configuration, and associate the SPDO directly with the unloading transactions. SPDO functionality can also be used with loading transactions.
  • If each loading or unloading transactions is for a single DO. Associate the DOs directly with the transactions.
  • With aggregated parent despatch order (APDO) or consignment parent despatch order (CPDO) functionality.
  • With SPDOs used for cumulative pricing.

See Parent and Child Despatch Orders for information about SPDOs, APDOs and CPDOs.

Security Note: You need the Allow shipment maintenance security right in the Shipments domain security rights group for this activity.

Activity Steps

  1. Open the Shipment.
  2. Ensure that despatch orders have been added to the shipment. See Add a Despatch Order to a Despatch.
  3. Select the Fulfilments sub-tab of the Logistics tab.
  4. For each despatch order:
    1. Select the Fulfilment Date.

MineMarket sets the Despatch Fulfilment Type of the DO to By Split Quantity (if it was not already By Split Quantity).

    2. Enter the Vessel Hold Tonnage, which is the amount of material in the vessel hold that is to be counted towards the despatch order fulfilment.

Note: The total vessel hold tonnage cannot exceed the total loading transactions for that vessel hold.

  5. Click Save.
