Enter Opening Survey Data for a Despatch
This activity is applicable to trains, truck despatches, service trips and shipments; and presumes that the despatch has a route and planned arrival date.
Security Note: Depending on the despatch type, you need the applicable security right for this activity:
• Allow train maintenance in the Trains domain security rights group
• Allow truck despatch maintenance in the Trucks domain security rights group
• Allow barge service trip maintenance in the Barge Despatches domain security rights group
• Allow shipment maintenance in the Shipments domain security rights group
Activity Steps
- Open the Train, Truck Despatch, Service Trip or Shipment.
- Select the applicable route point in the Route Diagram.
- Select the Opening Surveys tab; or for a shipment, the Opening Surveys sub-tab of the Logistics tab.
- Select whether to Automatically Calculate Opening Survey Date. If checked:
- If transactions have been recorded at the route point, the date of the earliest transaction is used, minus one second.
- If no transactions have been recorded at the route point, the earliest route point date is used.
This setting ensures that the opening survey date is prior to any transactions. If any of the transactions or route point dates are modified, MineMarket recalculates the opening survey date.
- If Automatically Calculate Opening Survey Date is unchecked, enter the Date Surveyed.
- Update the Unit if required. Select from the Mass units defined in the Unit Conversion Editor.
- Enter the Quantity for each train rake or wagon, truck, barge hold or vessel hatch as applicable.
- To add an analyte to the survey:
- Right-click the survey and select Add Sample Analyte » [Analyte] from the menu.
- Update the Value for the analyte.
- To add a contributor group to the survey:
- Right-click the survey and select Add Contributor Group » [Contributor Group] from the menu.
- Enter the contribution Value as a percentage for each contributor.
- If the contributor group has been configured to Calculate Yield Based Contributors, enter the percentage Yield for each contributor. Default: The yield defined for the contributor in the contributor group at the date on or preceding the survey date.
- To assign the train rake or wagon, truck, barge hold or vessel hatch as a contributor group source, check the contributor groups in the Despatch Is Source Of These Contributor Groups field group.
Contributors in the contributor groups that have been checked flow through to downstream supply chain locations when material is unloaded from the despatch. If the contributors for this contributor group are viewed for a stockpile prior to this point in the logistics supply chain, they will be seen as unassigned. That is, the contributors have been assigned from this point onward. See Contributors.
