Link a Delay to another Incident

You can record delays for despatches (trains, truck despatches, service trips and shipments), for supply trains and ships, for containers and for equipment items.

If required, the delay can be linked to another incident.

Security Note: Depending on the object type, you need the applicable security right for this activity:
Allow train maintenance in the Trains domain security rights group
Allow truck despatch maintenance in the Trucks domain security rights group
Allow barge service trip maintenance in the Barge Despatches domain security rights group
Allow shipment maintenance in the Shipments domain security rights group
Allow supply train maintenance security right in the Supply user group security rights
Allow supply ship maintenance security right in the Supply user group security rights
Allow equipment maintenance security right in the Equipment domain security rights group

Activity Steps

  1. Open the Train, Truck Despatch, Service Trip, Shipment, Supply Train, Supply Ship, Container or Equipment.
  2. Select the Delays tab; or for a shipment, the Delays sub-tab of the Itinerary tab; or for an equipment item, the Equipment Delays tab.
  3. Select the delay in the Incidents field group.
  4. Enter the following search criteria in the Caused By Incident field group.
    • Start Date—Default: 2 weeks before the current date, at 00:00:00.
    • End Date—Default: The current date, at 23:59:59.
    • Incident Category
    • Applicable Types
  5. Click Search.
  6. Check Selected for the incidents responsible for the delay.
  7. Click Save.
