Activity Steps

  1. Open the Calendar Editor.
  2. To create a new calendar:
    1. Right-click in the Calendars field group and select New from the menu.
    2. Enter the name of the Calendar.
  3. To configure a calendar:
    1. Select a calendar in the Calendars field group.
    2. To specify the starting points in a calendar:
      1. Select the Start Of Year.
      2. Select how to calculate the Start Of Month. Select from:
        • First Day Of Month (default)
        • Specific Day Number
        • Last Day Of Month
        • First Specified Day Of Month
        • Last Specified Day Of Month

The shift information is determined from the applicable process flow or location for which the date is being determined.

        Examples:

        • If Start Of Month set to Last Day Of Month, for the month of March:
          • For sites with a daily shift of 00:00:00 to 23:59:59, the month starts 31 March at 00:00:00 and ends 29 April at 23:59:59.
          • For sites with a daily shift of 06:00:00 to 05:59:59, the month starts 31 March at 06:00:00 and ends 30 April at 05:59:59.
        • To use the second day of the month as the start of the month, set Start of Month to Specific Day Number and Start of Month Day to 2.
        • To use the first Friday of the month as the start of the month, set Start of Month to First Specified Day Of Month and Start of Month Day to Friday.

This combination can be used to configure a calendar for a price series where prices are available on the last Friday of the month.

For a quotation period (QP) of MOS(0) calculated on a bill of lading (BL) date of 14 April 2015, the QP would be 27 March 2015 to 23 April 2015. The month of shipment would be considered to start on the last Friday of March.

      3. If Start Of Month is Specific Day Number, First Specified Day Of Month or Last Specified Day Of Month, enter the Start Of Month Day.
      4. Define the Start Day Of Week.
    3. To define the days that are to be included in work periods, select the Business Days.
    4. To create a work exclusion day for a non-working holiday:
