Create a Buyback Action for a Repurchase Contract
Security Note: You need the following security rights for this activity:
• Allow contract maintenance in the Organisations domain security rights group
• Allow discrete unit maintenance in the Supply Chain user group security rights group (if creating the buyback action from packages allocated to the open action)
Activity Steps
- Open the Repurchase Contract.
- Select the Repurchase Actions tab.
- To create a buyback action without allocating packages, right-click in the Repurchase Actions table and select New Buyback Action from the menu.
- To create a buyback action directly from packages allocated to the open action:
- Select the open action or the summary row.
If you click the summary row, the Packages sub-tab displays the packages that have not yet been bought back.
- Select the Packages sub-tab.
- Highlight packages to buy back.
Note: To highlight multiple packages, you can hold down Ctrl or Shift while clicking, use the Highlight Next Rows field, or right-click and select Highlight All or Highlight Batch from the menu.
- Right-click the selected packages and select Buy Back Packages from the menu.
- Select the open action or the summary row.
- Edit the following fields of the buyback repurchase action if required:
- Action ID
- Date—Must be between the start date and maturity date of the contract, and later than the date of the open action.
- Required Number Of Packages—Can be used to estimate costs based on the number of packages until packages are allocated to the open action.
- Required Quantity
- Comments
- Click Save.
