Enter a Rate for a Finance Contract
Security Note: You need the Allow contract maintenance security right in the Contracts domain security rights group for this activity.
Activity Steps
- Open the Finance Service Contract.
- Select the Contract Rates tab.
- Create the contract rate:
- Right-click in the Contract Rates table and select New from the menu.
Note: You can also paste one or more copied contract rates from the same or another finance contract. A copied contract rate includes its rate details. To copy multiple contract rates, check Selected for each required contract rate; then right-click and select Copy Contract Rate(s) from the menu.
- Complete the following fields as required.
- Name
- Locations—Optionally limit the contract rate to specified locations. Select from the locations defined on the Supply Chain panel of the Solution Explorer.
- Service Location Type—Type of location where the contract rate is applicable. Select from Both, At Loading Location and At Unloading Location.
- Activity—Select from the Finance Activity list items defined in the List Editor.
- Material Type—Optionally limit the contract rate to specified material types. Select from the material types defined on the Material panel of the Solution Explorer.
- Products—Optionally limit the contract rate to specified products and brands. Select from the products and brands defined on the Material panel of the Solution Explorer.
- Comments
- Right-click in the Contract Rates table and select New from the menu.
- Define the rate details:
- Select the contract rate in the Contract Rates table.
- Perform one of the following steps:
- To add a rate detail from a cost template, right-click in the rate detail table and select Add From Template » [Cost Template Category] » [Cost Template] from the menu.
Note: Only finance cost templates where the Provider (that is, the bank( and Activity (if specified) match the finance contract display. If the cost template includes a tax, the tax is added to the finance contract and can be edited on the Contract Taxes tab.
- To add a new rate detail, right-click in the rate detail table and select New from the menu.
Note: You can also paste a copied rate detail from the same or another finance contract; or a cost or budgeted cost that is for finance. See Costs and Service Charges.
- To add a rate detail from a cost template, right-click in the rate detail table and select Add From Template » [Cost Template Category] » [Cost Template] from the menu.
- Complete the following fields as required.
- Name
- Rate Detail Basis
- Type
- Rate Decimals
Note: See Contract Rates for descriptions of these and the following fields.
- If the Rate Detail Basis is Fixed Amount Per Despatch Order or Fixed Amount, enter the Value and Currency.
- If the Rate Detail Basis is Fixed Interest Rate, enter the Value and Bank Fee.
- If the Rate Detail Basis is Interest Rate Series, enter the Interest Rate Series and Bank Fee.
- If the Rate Detail Basis is Interest On Gross Value, Percentage Invoice Value or Percentage Of Loan Amount, enter the Value.
- Click Save.
