Configure Despatch Order Fulfilment for an Organisation

This configuration for the organisation can be overridden for an individual contract product. See Configure Despatch Order Fulfilment for a Contract Product.

Example: Company A has sales contracts with Organisation B. The default fulfilment location for these contracts is the loading location. When the saved loading transactions are within 2% of the associated despatch order required quantity, the despatch orders are to be marked as fulfilled automatically. The despatch order status is also updated. The despatch order fulfilment configuration for the organisation is applicable to all material contracts with Organisation B. However, the Fulfilled Percentage is varied for the occasional contract. When that occurs, the value is overridden for the applicable contract product.

Security Note: You need the Allow credit management maintenance security right in the Credit Management user group security rights group for this activity.

Activity Steps

Open the Organisation.
Select the Credit Management tab.
If despatch orders are to be automatically marked as fulfilled:
1. Check Auto Fulfil DOs.
  If checked, when the final quantity of loaded or unloaded material is greater than or equal to the despatch order fulfilment quantity, the despatch order status is automatically changed to the specified Fulfilled Status.

  Note: Whether loading or unloading transactions are considered depends on the Despatch Fulfilment Type specified for the despatch order.
  If unchecked, the Fulfilled Percentage field is not applicable.
2. Enter the Fulfilled Percentage to determine whether sufficient material has been loaded or unloaded and the despatch order should be marked as fulfilled. Default: 0.
  Example: A despatch order (DO) has a Required Quantity of 100 tonnes. However, if a quantity greater than 98 tonnes is loaded, the DO is to be marked as Fulfilled. The value for Fulfilled Percentage should be 2.
If the despatch order status is to be automatically updated when Fulfilled is checked or unchecked:
1. Ensure that the Despatch Order status definition has appropriated statuses for despatch order fulfilment. See Create a Status Definition for Despatch Order Fulfilment.
2. Select the Fulfilled Status from the statuses defined in the Despatch Order status definition. Only the statuses that have the Selectable property enabled display.
  If a Fulfilled Status is specified, when Fulfilled is checked or unchecked for the despatch order (either automatically or manually), the despatch order status is updated automatically to the specified Fulfilled Status.
Click Save.
