Override Contractual Quotation Pricing for a Despatch Order

Use this activity to override the quotation pricing (QP) details inherited from the contract.

When invoicing a despatch order, only one QP can apply. If the despatch order to be invoiced is a child despatch order (CDO) (see Parent and Child Despatch Orders) of an aggregated parent despatch order (APDO), consignment parent despatch order (CPDO) or split parent despatch order (SPDO), the following process is used to determine the applicable QP:

  1. If the CDO has a QP override, the CDO QP is used in invoicing.
  2. If the CDO does not have a QP override, but the PDO has an override, the PDO QP is used in invoicing.
  3. If the PDO does not have a QP override, but the contract quota (if associated with the PDO) has an override, the quota QP is used in invoicing, even if the date of the CDO is outside of the quota date range.
  4. If the PDO is not associated with a contract quota with a QP override, the contract product QP is used in invoicing.
  5. If the PDO is not associated with a contract product with a QP override, the contract QP is used in invoicing.

Security Note: You need the Allow the user to maintain despatch orders and Allow the user to override quotation pricing for despatch orders security rights in the Contracts domain security rights group for this activity.
