View the Results of a Cash Forecast Report

Security Note: You need the Allow the user to view Cash Forecast reports security right in the Intelligent Reporting domain security rights group for this activity.

Activity Steps

  1. Open the Cash Forecast Report.
  2. Select the Results tab.
  3. Select the Display Results As method from:
  4. To compare the cash forecast with actual payments:
    1. Check Compare Forecast With Actual Payments. If checked:
      • The detailed report displays the paid amount for each invoice instalment.
      • The summary report displays the paid amount for each date period and selected combination of summary fields.
      • The summary chart aggregates the forecast values from snapshots and invoices, and compares those values with actual payments, for each date period and selected combination of summary fields.
    2. Select the Comparison Date for actual payments. Only actual payments made before the comparison date are included in the report.
    3. Click Update Actual Payments.

    Note: The comparison is only possible if the cash forecast report is locked. See Lock a Cash Forecast Report.

  5. If the display method is Summary, select Summary Fields if required. Select from Company, District, Organisation and Status.
  6. If the display method is Summary or Summary Chart, select the Period by which to summarise the data. Select from:
    • View By Day
    • View By Week
    • View By Month
    • View By Quarter
    • View By Year
  7. If the display method is Details or Summary:
    1. To export the results to Microsoft Excel, right-click the results table and select Export Data To » Export to Excel from the menu.

      Microsoft Excel opens and displays the results in a new spreadsheet.

    2. To save the results as a CSV, XML or TXT file, right-click the results and select Export Data To » [File Type] from the menu.
  8. If the display method is Summary Chart:
    1. To modify the appearance of the chart:
      1. Right-click the chart and select Show Wizard from the menu.

        The Chart Wizard displays.

      2. Edit the chart properties as required.
      3. Click Accept.
    2. To save the chart as a BMP, GIF, JPEG, PNG or TIFF image, right-click the chart and select Save To File from the menu.
