View Commodity Exposure

Security Note: You need the Allow the user to view commodity exposure security right in the Intelligent Reporting domain security rights group for this activity.

Activity Steps

1. Open the Commodity Exposure.
2. Select a Company from the companies defined on the Organisations panel of the Solution Explorer.
3. Enter the following search criteria as required.
   • Start Date
   • End Date
   • Districts—Select from the districts defined on the Organisations panel of the Solution Explorer.
   • Organisations—Select from the organisations defined on the Organisations panel of the Solution Explorer.
   • Commodity—Limits the search results to the despatch orders and quotas with the same analyte definition, material type and/or product of the selected commodity. Select from the physical commodities defined in the Market/Commodity Editor.
4. To include a text string in the search criteria:
   1. Select the method to Search By from Despatch Order, Quota and Contract.
   2. Enter the Search Text. Text searches are case-sensitive with SQL databases with a case-sensitive collation and with all Oracle databases.
5. Enter the following display criteria as required.
   • Unit—Select from the contract UOMs of the market commodities for the selected commodity.
   • Exposure Range—Optionally highlights quotation periods that are underhedged or overhedged. Expressed as a percentage. Example: If the exposure range is 10%, cells with a hedged percentage less than 90% and more than 110% are highlighted.
6. Click Search.
7. To view more detailed information, hover the mouse pointer over the exposure.
8. To export the results to Microsoft Excel, right-click the results and select Export Grid To » Excel from the menu.

   Microsoft Excel opens and displays the results in a new spreadsheet.

9. To save the results as a CSV, XML or TXT file, right-click the results and select Export Grid To » [File Type] from the menu.
