Assign a Domain and Domain Security Rights to a User Group

A domain is a group of MineMarket objects (of various types).

A user group can be assigned a domain.

If a security right is denied (unchecked), a user in a user group who has been assigned that domain will not be able to perform the function covered by that security right. If a security right is permitted (checked), a user in a user group who has been assigned that domain will be able to perform the function covered by that security right, but only for objects that are in that domain.

If more than one domain is added to a user group, and each user group domain has a different value for a security right (for example, contract maintenance), then preference is given to the optimistic value. This is also the case for the viewing of objects.

Important: Security rights cannot be assigned until at least one user has been created with a user group.
Security Note: You need the Allow user maintenance security right in the Security user group security rights group for this activity.

Activity Steps

1. Open the User Group.
2. Select the Domains tab.
3. Expand the Security » Domains node.
4. Drag a domain into the User Group Domain Membership field group.
5. Check the required security rights in the domain security rights groups.
6. Click Save.
