Import Translations

You can import translations from an extensible markup language (XML) or a comma-separated values (CSV) file. Only one translation set can be imported at a time.

For files in CSV format, the expected first line is:

Key,Owner Type,Category,Description,Property Name,Native Text,New Translation

New Translation can be the name of an existing translation set (for example, to replace the translation set). If multiple translation sets must be imported, each translation set must be imported separately. Each value must be enclosed in double quotes because some translation strings include commas.

For files in XML format, the format must match the exported XML format.

ZIP files can only be zipped XML translation files.

Security Note: You need the Allow translation maintenance security right in the Translations user group security rights group for this activity.

Activity Steps

  1. Open the Translations screen.
  2. Select any option for the Translation View Filter from the drop-down list.

Note: All translation objects that are in the file are imported, irrespective of the selected translation view filter.

  3. Right-click the column containing the translation set to be imported and select Import Translation from the menu.
  4. Locate the source ZIP, XML or CSV file.
  5. Click Open.
  6. If a translation set with the same name already exists in MineMarket, a prompt displays. Perform one of the following steps:
    1. Click Yes to replace the entire existing translation set.
    2. Click No to add the data as a new translation set.
  7. Update the Translation Name of the translation set if required.
  8. Click Save.
