Set up a Translation Set

Security Note: You need the Allow translation maintenance security right in the Translations user group security rights group for this activity.

Activity Steps

1. Open the Translations screen.
2. Select a Translation View Filter from BusinessObject, Exception, Form, GlobalString, DiagramObject, GUIModulemanager, Enum and Other.

   The native text for each item of the selected translation type displays.

3. To limit the results to items including specific text in the Native Text field, enter text in the Text field.

   Note: Additional translations are not searched.

4. To create an empty translation set, right-click in the Native Text column and select New from the menu.
5. To create a duplicate translation set that can then be used as a starting point for further translations, right-click in the column for that translation set and select Create Like from the menu.
6. Enter the Translation Name of the translation set.
7. To sort the Native Text column alphabetically, click the column header.
8. Locate the native text to be changed.
9. Enter the translation in the column for the translation set.

   Note: You can define a keyboard shortcut by entering an ampersand (&) before the shortcut key.

10. Click Save.
