Set up the Analyte Measurement Bases

Weighted-average quality calculations can be done on both a wet (as received) and dry basis.

The Dry Basis basis type has Moisture specified as the analyte to be deducted from an As Received value to calculate the corresponding Dry Basis value.

Security Note: You need the Allow maintenance of basis conversions security right in the Base Data user group security rights group for this activity.

Activity Steps

1. Open the Basis Editor.
2. Select the Default Basis from As Received or Dry Basis.
3. Edit the Name and Basis Symbol for each basis type if required.
4. To define another analyte measurement basis:
   1. Right-click and select New from the menu.
   2. Enter the Name and Basis Symbol for the alternate basis type.
   3. In As Received Conversion, select the analytes to be deducted from an As Received value to calculate the corresponding basis value. The analyte definitions are defined on the Quality panel of the Solution Explorer.
5. Click Save.
